It all started when…

My name is Ashleigh Swan but, most people call me Ash. I am currently a Journalism student at the University of Westminster in London, England. I have a pretty interesting story and it all started in the great scottish city of Glasgow, the place I will always deem as home. I was born in Renfrew, a small town located just 10 short minutes from the hustle and bustle of Glasgow. Although my time living in Glagow was short, I would always spend the majority of my summers there, visting family and freinds and of course drinking lots of Irn Bru! The next part of my story sees in my Ashbourne, England, where I began to become attracted to the idea of travel. I was very forutnate enough to travel to places like Portugal and Spain with my family, so the idea of travel then really stuck with me nicey. I then moved to Carmel, Indiana in the United States. This is where most of my youth took place. Although I dont like to admit it, I am rather  thankful for my time int he U.S. Without living there I dont think I would be the person I am today or have the views I have. Because I lived in such a rural place in the U.S, I made it a major goal of mine to keep in contact with  the world and at the age of 12 my main ambiton was to come back to the U.K to complete my undergrad. As I come home to my flat in Wembley today, I really am proud of how I have acomplished this goal of mine beacuse trust me, I had a lot of people doubting me. It makes me mottivated to achieve even more dreams that I have. It helps that I was a fantatisc support systyem, from my immdietate family in the U.S, to my extended in Glasgow and my freinds all around the globe. Life is short and the world is wide, and I am excited to share my experainces of seeing the world throgh this Departues blog!
