Love at its finest !
Love at its finest !
As I sat at my local Starbucks in London, thinking of all the things that had gone the way I didn’t want them to go and then instantly of feeling sorry myself, I saw him. As I was sitting in my cloud of negative thoughts, I tuned to look at the Wembley stadium to see a guy running. And this wasn’t just any run. It was an aggressive run, a fighting run. It was clear that this guy was putting every single piece of his soul into this particular run. He was fighting. He was Trying.
This brings me to my first quote:
― Eric Thomas, The Secret to Success
I often find myself leaving university thinking, “wow, I should have put more effort into that” or “I should of prepared just a little bit harder for this”. OR even better, I will get upset over a particular grade I got. BUT then I think. Who is to blame here? Who should of studied harder? DID YOU REALLY put in the maximum amount of effort? it’s not him, or her or anyone but YOU. The foundation of becoming successful in ANYTHING, it could be playing an instrument, running a marathon, course work, or even just getting out of your bed in the morning starts with YOU getting of YOUR ass and putting in the work. When you want to accomplish a goal as bad as you want to breathe then you will be successful, because you are putting in the effort. YOU ARE putting in the work to be the person you want to become. This is when results take place. Think of Martin Luther King JR, the women’s rights leaders, world war veterans, and Olympians..... blood, sweat, tears, passion and fight is what these people used to accomplish what they wanted. Use every little inch of your body to evolve into the person who you want to be. And let me tell you. It will happen. Success will happen.
- Confucius
Everyone has a fight in them. But not everyone chooses to fight. I often hear a lot of people, even myself saying, “I’m not good enough”, or “I can’t do it” and you know what? They are probably right. And this is not because they are not able to do it. But simply because they aren’t choosing to fight. All I can say here is, FIGHT! Nothing is impossible. I am a firm believer that good things will happen to those who work hard, stay humble, and push through each barrier that comes to them.
I am no perfect person. I can be very negative at times. I get dark thoughts just as much as anyone else. But then I learned that these are just thoughts. And I often would wait for some sort of sign from the Universe to give me the answer. But then I realized… The only person who can actually change their particular situation is yourself. Ask yourself, if you get up and try something just one more time, just one more push, one more fight. See what happens. You can’t point your finger and say this person caused me to be like this, I am like this because they did this to me. This is what cowards do. And I have yet to meet someone in my life who is coward. In fact, quite the opposite. I have met people who have an incredible drive to get what they want. And have already reached a success level that they wanted. And then I have also met people who have so much to offer, so much to show the world but they don’t think that the fight is worth it. But anyone can see besides them that the fight is worth it. It’s always going to be worth it in the end. But the only person who can believe it is worth it. Is yourself. Just try one more time.
APPRECIATE. Often we get so comfortable with a particular person or place, that we don’t really recognize the powerful impact on us. Tell the people that you love that you love them. Tell them what you love about them. What they have done for you. Respect their choices. Make it clear that they are important to you. For me, it’s the little things. My birthday last year was one of the best ones yet. And not because I received billions of gifts, but simply because there was a group of people who took the time out of their life to celebrate with me. For me, that’s all I need. And I think you will find that’s what all of us really need in the end. Love and appreciation.

Finally, my last advice is, Put your heart into everything you do and want. Pursue your passion. Pursue the person that you love. Make your dreams a reality. BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOU. Keep pushing. And you will find results. But if you don’t have heart in it, then don’t. If you really want something. You need to have every inch of your body involved.
