It was a vibrant Thursday morning at the departures lounge at Heathrow Airport. My Mum was exhausted but I was feeling a buzz. The departures lounge, for me, is the embodiment of life; freshly brewed coffee, images of exotic escapes, manifolds of fragrances from duty free, a voice over the intercom guiding people to their gates, and the multiplicity of travelers. I see airports as an assortment of emotions; the fear and excitement of traveling somewhere new, the heartache of letting a loved one go, and a place where decisions are made and lives are changed forever. My ultimate goal in life is to see the world and go to as many departures gates as I can because the more of the world we see, the more attracted to life we are.
